    est un groupe de Black Metal norvégien. Le groupe combine un Black Metal classique avec des éléments symphoniques grâce aux claviers. La musique du combo puise son inspiration dans la musique classique, comme dans les compositions de Wagner. Puisque le groupe n'a pas de batteur, ils utilisent une boite à rythmes.

    est un groupe norvégien de black. Il a été fondée en 1992, lorsque Stian Arnesen aka "Nagash" a commencé à écrire de la musique avec Glaurung et Fafnir. Lorsque Glaurung et Fafnir ont quitté le projet, Nagash continua Troll comme un projet solo.

    est un groupe de Black Metal originaire de Norvège créé par le bassiste King Ov Hell du groupe Gorgoroth qui a donné son nom à la formation. Ov Hell a été mis en place avec l'aide de Shagrath du groupe Dimmu Borgir.

    Vegard Sverre Tveitan, plus connu sous son nom de scène Ihsahn, est un musicien norvégien Norvège né en 1975. Figure emblématique de la scène black metal, il a été le fondateur, chanteur, principal guitariste, et claviériste du défunt groupe Emperor. C'est avec lui qu'il a été reconnu comme un grand génie du black metal des années 1990. Après la séparation du groupe, il se concentra sur Peccatum, un groupe d'avant-garde metal qu'il mène avec sa femme Ihriel. Il dirige également le label Mnemosyne Productions avec cette dernière.

    est un groupe de metal brésilien Brésil fondé par Max et Igor Cavalera en 1984, à Belo Horizonte. Les autres membres sont Derrick Green (guitare et voix), Jean Dolabella (batterie), Paulo Jr. (basse) et d'Andreas Kisser (guitare). À la base un groupe de death metal, Sepultura a peu à peu évolué en thrash metal, puis en un dérivé plus hardcore ensuite.
